  Wetter and greener than the coast; forest trails turn to mud in the rains and waterfalls are strongest Jun–Oct.

• Northern savanna · Tamale, Mole, Bolgatanga, Wahot

  One rainy season (May–Oct). Mole's game gathers at waterholes Jan–Apr; March–April tops 40 °C and Harmattan dust dims December–February.
