Saray
Skip as a base: Saray is a 2–3 h bus stop between Istanbul and the Black Sea coast. Stay only if you want the Güngörmez caves or a cheap night on the road.
Saray is a small inland town in Eastern Thrace, in the Istranca foothills, and a transport hub rather than a destination. Its Ottoman mosque, park and stream caves fill half a day; most travellers pass through on the way to Kıyıköy or İğneada. Use it as a break in a road or bus journey, not as a base for the region.
