Liberia's sights fall into three groups: the capital, the coast, and the forest interior. Monrovia holds the history and the markets and works as the base for everything. Robertsport, west on Cape Mount, is the beach and surf stop. The interior — Kpatawee falls, Blue Lake, Sapo National Park, East Nimba — is dry-season travel with a vehicle and driver.

Monrovia: the base and the history
Monrovia carries most of what a short trip needs. Providence Island is the landing site tied to the founding of the settlement, Ducor Palace ruins sit above Mamba Point with a view over the city and the water, and the National Museum of Liberia on Broad Street covers the country's history in a small space. The Centennial Pavilion on Ashmun Street is another short stop.
Waterside market is the busiest trading ground and the place to see how the city actually works; go with a local guide and keep valuables out of sight. The city beaches — Silver Beach and CeCe Beach on the outskirts — are an afternoon stop, not a swimming spot: currents are strong year-round, so ask locally before going in and expect the answer to be no.
Two or three nights is enough for the city core. Use the spare day for Blue Lake near Tubmanburg or the Firestone rubber plantation, both doable as day trips.

Forest and interior
Kpatawee falls in Bong County is reached via Gbarnga, the central hub on the road to Guinea; plan one night near the falls or in Gbarnga rather than a day return. Blue Lake, a flooded former mine near Tubmanburg, is a half-day stop from Monrovia.
Sapo National Park protects primary rainforest in Sinoe County and is the country's strongest wildlife draw, but there is no independent access: you go with an operator, for three to five nights, in the December–March window. East Nimba in the far north-east is mountain forest and bird country, again dry-season and 4x4 territory.
Harper, at Cape Palmas in the far south-east, is the remote colonial town at the end of the country. Reaching it means a long road transfer, and two or three nights is the sensible minimum once you are there; check whether any domestic flight currently operates before planning around one.
How many days you need
Five to seven days covers Monrovia and Robertsport comfortably. Ten days adds Gbarnga and an overnight at Kpatawee falls without rushing. Two weeks is the point at which Sapo, East Nimba or Harper become realistic, and even then only in the dry season with a vehicle arranged in advance.
Build in a buffer day at the start and end. The airport transfer and road delays eat time, and a missed connection in the interior is expensive to fix.
