Naxalite activity is a real risk in Gadchiroli district. Travel only during daylight, avoid remote trails, and check with local authorities or the project before visiting. The area is otherwise safe for visitors who stay on the main route.
  • Naxalite activity in the region: check current security advisories before travelling.
  • Alcohol is prohibited in Gadchiroli district.
  • Mobile network: only BSNL works (as of 2019); carry cash as cards may not be accepted.
  • Roads are rough; expect slow travel.
