Overview
Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory of about six square kilometres, and the town is under the Rock's west face. The trips that go wrong start at the frontier at a peak hour, plan the cable car for a windy afternoon, or walk Main Street on a cruise-ship day. Four clusters cover a first visit, stacked along Main Street from the frontier end down to the gardens.

Scams and red flags
- Taxi tours at the frontier or at cruise stops that quote a per-person price for the Rock: ask the total and what is included.
- Macaques that snatch food or bags: do not carry open food and do not feed them.
- Cheap duty-free goods that are counterfeit or over the frontier allowance: buy from shops and keep receipts.
