Canyon Country is southern Utah's canyon-and-mesa belt: five national parks (Zion, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Arches, Canyonlands) plus Grand Staircase-Escalante and Bears Ears country, spread across a sparsely populated area the size of a small country. Towns sit 1.5–4 hours apart by road, so the trip is a driving loop with two or three bases, not a single hub. Sleep in Moab for Arches and Canyonlands, in Torrey for Capitol Reef, in Springdale for Zion, in Bryce Canyon City or Panguitch for Bryce, and in Kanab for Grand Staircase and Vermilion Cliffs.
