Nevada is two tourism cities at opposite ends of a desert, about 7 hours apart by car. Las Vegas is the south gateway, Reno the north one, and between them is empty country where the next services can be 100 km away. Pick one end, add a national park or a mountain day, and treat the middle as a drive, not a place to wander without fuel and water.
