When is the best time to go in Vietnam?
March–April or October–November give the widest choice. The north is best Mar–May and Sep–Nov, the centre Feb–Jul, and the south and highlands Dec–Apr. Avoid Hội An in October and the northern mountains in Jun–Aug.
How many days do I need in Vietnam?
Ten to fourteen nights lets you pick two of the three regions and add one or two small towns. Seven nights works for the north plus Hội An. Allow 1–2 nights for Ninh Bình or Cần Thơ and 2–3 for Sa Pa, Đà Lạt or Hà Giang.
