Morning is the default start for almost everything. Walking tours leave around 07:00–08:30, cooking classes around 08:00 with the market first, and day tours around 08:00–09:00. Afternoon versions exist but rain is more likely from roughly November to March.
Entry fees are usually separate from the tour price. Temple and site tickets change; treat any figure you see online as an estimate and carry small cash. Many sites now accept QR payment, but not all guides do.

Getting there
Most tours include pick-up from your hotel in central Ubud, or meet at a fixed point such as the market or the palace. Confirm the pick-up window the day before: traffic on Jalan Raya Ubud and Jalan Hanoman is slow, and a 07:00 start can mean a 06:15 pick-up.
If you are staying outside the centre, in Sayan, Penestanan or further north, tell the operator your address when booking. Some charge extra for outlying pick-ups. For day tours, a private car is often simpler than a group tour if your hotel is off the main road.
