Spend a half‑day in Shiding for Old Street, tea fields and a short hike; add a night only if staying in New Taipei.
Shiding is a rural district of New Taipei with a historic street, tea plantations and access to the rugged Huangdidian ridge trail. It is reachable by bus from Taipei MRT and makes a good half‑day stop on a north‑Taiwan itinerary.
