- Türkiye (Turkey) ↗Check whether your passport is visa-exempt; if it is not, apply only at evisa.gov.tr — lookalike sites charge extra and some sell nothing.
- Türkiye (Turkey) ↗At mosques cover shoulders and knees, take shoes off at the door, and women carry a headscarf; stay out during prayer times.
- Türkiye (Turkey) ↗Taxis must run the taximeter; refuse flat quotes, or book through BiTaksi or Uber so the ride is logged.
- Türkiye (Turkey) ↗Carry lira in small notes for tea, markets, tips and toilets; prices move with inflation, so treat every printed price as dated.
- Türkiye (Turkey) ↗Do not take stones, coins or tiles from ancient sites, and export no antiques without a museum certificate; travellers have been detained at airport customs.
Karaman is an Anatolian plateau city at 1,000 m, kept off the main tourist track and left with an intact medieval core: a Byzantine castle on a knoll, a 14th-century mosque holding relatives of Rumi, and a small archaeology museum. It is a working agricultural city, not a resort, and the sights beyond town need a car. Most travellers use it as a rail or road stop between Konya and Adana, or as a base for the Byzantine ruins of Binbirkilise and the Manazan caves.

- Airport-to-bed contracts for KYA and COV: last bus and train times field-checked, taxi fallback, overnight rung.
- Walking cluster for the old centre with rescue anchors: castle, museum and Hatuniye Medresesi, Aktekke Mosque, İbrahim Bey Mosque.
- Place pages with verified opening hours (Karaman Museum, Aktekke Mosque, Ottoman houses) and eat pages with last orders on İsmet Paşa Caddesi.
- Car-hire and taxi-by-the-hour fixtures for the Manazan caves, Taşkale, İncesu and Binbirkilise so gates A–D can go green.
