Nishitokyo
Spend half a day for a walk in Tamako Jitenshado or a quick skate at DyDo Drinco Ice Arena; otherwise skip if your schedule is tight.
Nishitokyo is a residential city west of central Tokyo, about 30 min by Seibu Shinjuku Line from Shinjuku. Its main draws are a small bike‑path, an ice arena and the Skytower West Tokyo landmark. One half‑day is enough for a brief visit; a full day is only needed if you plan to ice skate or explore the parks in depth.

Rules in force · 5
- East Asia ↗Every border in East Asia is a full international border, Hong Kong and Macau included: an entry permission for one never covers the next.
- East Asia ↗Ferries between Korea, Japan and China cancel in rough seas and typhoons; keep a flight or a spare day behind every sea leg.
- Japan ↗IC cards (ICOCA/Suica) are topped up with cash at station machines.
- Japan ↗Smoking while walking is banned in most city centres; use designated areas.
- Japan ↗Shinkansen bags 160–250 cm (L+W+H) need a seat reserved with the oversized-baggage area.
