Kriva Palanka is a small mountain town of about 15,000 people in northeastern North Macedonia. Its main sights – the 19th‑century Church of Saint Demetrius and the 12th‑century Osogovo Monastery – are within a short walk, making a half‑day visit feasible. Overnight stays are possible in a few guesthouses, but most travellers treat it as a day stop when traveling between Skopje and Bulgaria.
