Skip as a base: Siuntio is a half-day stop on the King's Road, 45 min by train from Helsinki. Come for the church, mansions and Kivi park, then move on.
Siuntio is a rural Uusimaa municipality of about 6,000 people, spread across a handful of villages roughly 50 km west of Helsinki. It sits on the historic King's Road and is served by the HSL commuter rail (zone D). Sights are small and scattered: a medieval stone church with a separate wooden bell tower, two manor houses, a writer's museum and a farm museum. There is one spa hotel and a handful of cafés. This is a half-day or overnight countryside stop, not a destination in itself.

Getting around
Villages are walkable internally but 3–8 km apart, so a car is the practical way to link them. A few weekday buses run along the main roads; expect long waits. Trains (HSL lines Y, X, L and H) stop at Siuntio station in zone D. Taxis are limited: book ahead.
