Muang Ngoi Neua
Spend 1–2 days in Muang Ngoi Neua: easy boat ride from Nong Khiaw, explore caves, lookouts and riverside bungalows.
Muang Ngoi Neua is a tiny riverside village in northern Laos, reachable by a 1‑hour boat from Nong Khiaw. Its main draws are Tham Kang cave, two lookout points and a range of budget bungalows. One full day covers the village core; a second day lets you hike to surrounding villages or take a boat upstream. Overnight stays are cheap, so 1–2 days is enough.
