Jastrzębia Góra is a small Baltic beach resort at Poland's northern tip, part of the Władysławowo municipality about 6 km from its train station. It is a warm-weather, walk-everywhere place: wide sand reached by a short forest walk, a cliff coast at Rozewie next door, and a strip of seasonal bars and fish smokehouses. Two or three nights covers the beach, the Rozewie lighthouse and Lisi Jar gorge; out of season most of it shuts and you come for walking, not swimming.

Getting around

The resort is small enough to walk end to end in about 20 minutes; rent a bike for the coast road. PKS Gdynia buses link the town with Władysławowo, Puck and the Hel Peninsula, with extra summer services. The main road through town is narrow cobblestone and jams badly in summer. Taxis come from Władysławowo: agree the price for longer runs.

Watch out

Safety

A low-crime resort; the real risks are the cold Baltic, steep beach paths, unguarded swimming spots and summer road traffic. Keep valuables off the sand and watch for jellyfish after warm spells.
  • Beach access is steep in places and not suitable for wheelchairs; the Droga Rybacka entrance is the gentlest, still a slope.
  • The DW 215 coast road is cobblestone and in poor condition; summer traffic to Władysławowo can queue for a long time.
  • Trains toward Hel are packed in season; board at Władysławowo for a seat.
  • Many restaurants, bars and stalls are seasonal only: check before you count on them outside Jul–Aug.
  • Baltic swimming is cold even in August and there are no lifeguards everywhere: check flags at the entrance you use.
