Clydeside is Glasgow plus the towns along the lower River Clyde, from Dumbarton and Balloch down to Greenock. Trains and buses fan out from Glasgow's two mainline stations, so most places are 20–50 minutes from the centre. Sleep in Glasgow and day-trip the rest; the outlying towns have little evening draw and thin late transport.
