Ankola
Ankola is a half-day stop on the Konkan coast: see the Lakshminarayana Mahamaya Temple, eat ishaad mangoes in season, then move on to Gokarna or Karwar.
Ankola is a small temple town in Uttara Kannada, Karnataka, on National Highway 17 between Goa and Udupi. It is known for the Lakshminarayana Mahamaya Temple, local mangoes (ishaad) and nearby beaches like Belikeri. Most travellers use it as a short stop between Gokarna and Karwar, or as a base to explore the surrounding coast.
