Yakage is a small former post‑town in Okayama Prefecture. Its two original inns (Honjin and Wakihonjin), a local museum and a park dedicated to Kibi no Makibi are within walking distance. The town is reachable by the Ibara Railway from Okayama, making a half‑day visit easy; overnight accommodation is optional.
