About these names

Mahé is about 27 km long and 8 km wide. The coast road is the only main route; expect 20 to 40 minutes between most points by taxi.

Victoria is a grid of about ten streets around the market, the clock tower and the harbour, and you can walk across it in 20 minutes. The airport is 10 km south-east, Beau Vallon is 5 km over the hill to the north-west, and the ferry quay is at the north end of the town. Everything else on Mahé is a taxi or car ride away.
