  Dry season January–May; wet season June–December with heavy afternoon rain and flooding in low areas. Sits south of the main hurricane track, though storms can pass close.

  Slightly drier and breezier than Trinidad; the north-east is greener and wetter. Tropical storms occasionally pass (Flora in 1963 was the last major hurricane).
