Southwestern Ontario is a car region: cities 60–200 km apart on Highway 401, with beaches, farms and small towns in between. Sleep in London (mid-peninsula, Via Rail hub) or Waterloo Region (tech city, GO and Via links to Toronto), then loop out by car. Without a car, stay on a Via Rail stop and treat each town as a half-day.
