The GTA is Toronto plus four regional municipalities — Peel, York, Durham and Halton — spread over roughly 7,000 km². Almost everything a visitor wants sits inside Toronto or is a 30–90 minute GO train ride out. Base downtown, day-trip the rest; the only common exception is a pre-dawn Pearson departure.
