Coast (Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast): Subtropical: warm and humid summers with afternoon storms, mild dry winters. Sea temperatures stay swimmable most of the year.
Hinterland and ranges: Cooler and wetter than the coast; rainforest walks can be muddy after rain.
