Sattahip
Visit Sattahip for a half‑day if you’re in Pattaya; otherwise use it as a day‑trip base for naval sites and nearby beaches (1 day).
Sattahip is a small fishing town with a large Royal Thai Navy base, several quiet beaches and a handful of cultural sites. It is reachable by train (weekday only) or bus from Bangkok and sits 30 km south of Pattaya. Most visitors stop for a few hours to see the naval museum, Anek Kuson Sala art gallery and a beach, then continue to Pattaya or the Eastern Gulf coast. One full day is enough to cover the main sights; a half‑day works as a side‑trip from Pattaya.
