Pattaya is a coastal resort city about 150 km south-east of Bangkok, reached in roughly two hours by road. It is known for its busy beachfront, nightlife and large entertainment venues. Koh Larn island is a short boat ride away.

- Agree fares before boarding tuk-tuks or baht buses.
- Watch bags and phones in crowded nightlife areas.
