Rivne is a mid-size regional capital in western Ukraine, about 3½ hours by train from Lviv. Most travellers come for one thing — the Tunnel of Love at Klevan — and add the compact centre, a 19th-century cathedral and a good regional museum. The city is a practical rail and bus junction for Volhynia, not a destination that fills a week. Airspace is closed, so you arrive by train or bus.

Getting around

Buses and trolleybuses cover the centre and the station; single rides are cheap (about ₴12 bus, ₴8 trolleybus — check current fares). Taxis through Bolt, Uklon or Uber are the easy option for the Tunnel of Love side trips and late arrivals. The centre is walkable end to end in about 25 minutes.
