Galeão (GIG): the main international airport
Galeão is the long-haul gateway. The arrivals hall has official taxi counters, app pickup zones and a bus stop outside. Confirm the pickup point in the app before you walk out: drivers cannot stop at the kerb directly in front of every door.
App cars are usually the cheapest fixed-price option and the easiest to pay for by card. Meter taxis from the official rank cost more but need no phone or data. Ignore anyone inside the hall offering a ride; book at a counter or in the app.
