Bundanoon
Give Bundanoon one night, or a day trip from Bowral or Sydney: the village is a 20-minute walk end to end and the national park is the reason to come.
Bundanoon is a small Southern Highlands village of about 2,900 people on the Sydney–Canberra rail line, with a café strip, a historic pub and the escarpment lookouts of Morton National Park about 5 km out of town. Most travellers pass through for half a day or sleep one night; two nights only if you want a full bushwalk and the glow worms after dark.

Getting around
The village is walkable in 15–20 minutes. The Morton National Park entrance is about 1.5 km from the station, and the lookouts a further 4 km or so; bikes can be hired in town and carried free on the train. A car is the easy option for the park, lookouts and the drive to the Gullies.
