Taraz is a historic Silk‑Road town on the Kazakh Desert, about 2 km from its railway station and 30 km from the airport. Its main attractions are Aisha Bibi Mausoleum, Zhengis Park and a lively Sunday animal market. One full day covers the sights; a second day allows a relaxed pace or a visit to the nearby market.
