Spend 1–2 days in Fenghuang: walk the Old Town, grab a through‑ticket for the main sights, and if you like hiking add the Southern Great Wall.
Fenghuang is a compact ancient town in western Hunan. Its historic core fits a half‑day walk, but the surrounding attractions (Southern Great Wall, museums) justify a second day. Transport links are simple, making it a good day‑trip from Jishou or a short overnight stay.
