Hobart is a farm town of about 3,800 people on US 183 in southwest Oklahoma's Great Plains Country, roughly 2 h 15 min–2 h 30 min from Oklahoma City. It is a leg-stretch stop on the drive between Clinton and Altus, not a destination: the draw is a pair of small local museums and a National Register downtown, all within a few blocks of each other. Plan 2–4 hours here, or use it as a cheap overnight if you are crossing the state late.
