Give Truro one night, two if you want the tidal bore rafting: it is a road and rail stop between Halifax and Moncton, not a destination in itself.
Truro is a town of about 12,000 at the head of the Bay of Fundy, 100 km north of Halifax on Highway 102 and on the Trans-Canada Highway. It is the practical stop between Halifax and New Brunswick, with Victoria Park, a small downtown and the tidal bore on its doorstep. Most travellers sleep one night; two nights if the rafting or the Fundy shore is the point of the trip.
