Two small communities on PEI's north shore, joined by Route 258 and sitting at the edge of Prince Edward Island National Park. North Rustico ("The Crick") has the harbour, the lighthouse and most of the restaurants; New Glasgow sits inland on the Hunter River with golf, artisan shops and its own lobster supper. Almost everything is seasonal and closes when the park winds down in late September, so plan around a car and a summer window.
