Cua OngCửa Ông
Skip as a base: Cua Ong is a 30-minute stop for temples and a market, not a destination. Use it as a lunch break en route to Cai Rong or Quan Lan.
Cua Ong is a small transit town on the coast of Ha Long Bay, best known for its two Buddhist temples and a local market. Most travellers pass through on the way to the islands of Cai Rong or Quan Lan. The town is walkable and can be seen in under an hour.
