Watch out

Safety

Ono is generally safe; watch mountain roads in winter and keep an eye on traffic on narrow Route 157.
  • National Route 157 is narrow and often closed in bad weather; use expressway E67 instead.
  • Last train from Fukui departs around 22:00; plan return before midnight.
