Valapad
Skip Valapad as a destination: it is a small roadside town with one beach and no accommodation. Pass through on the way to Guruvayoor or Chavakkad.
Valapad is a minor town on NH 66 between Guruvayoor and Kochi, known mainly as the birthplace of poet Kunjunni Mash. It has a quiet beach (Kothakulam) and a handful of family restaurants, but no hotels, limited public transport and no sights that justify an overnight stay. Most travellers will pass through without stopping.
