Half a day is enough: visit the Mughal-era Wah Gardens, then move on to Taxila or back to Islamabad. Not a base.
Wah Cantt is a military cantonment 30 km northwest of Islamabad, best known for the Mughal Wah Gardens. The city itself is a controlled-access garrison town; most visitors come for the gardens and the nearby Taxila ruins. Half a day covers the main sight.
