TitusvilleTitusville, Florida
Give Titusville 1–2 nights if you want a rocket launch or the Space Coast without Orlando prices; skip it if you are not here for space or the river.
Titusville sits on the Indian River directly west of the Kennedy Space Center launch pads, so the riverfront is the cheapest front-row seat for a launch. The town itself is small: a historic downtown, three space and aviation museums, and the road out to Canaveral National Seashore. Most travellers use it as a one- or two-night base between Orlando and Cocoa Beach, or as a launch-day stop.

- North America ↗Crossing between the US, Canada and Mexico by land needs your passport even on a day trip; rental cars need the company's written permission to cross, and most US and Canadian rental insurance stops at the Mexican border.
- North America ↗Cannabis is legal in Canada and in many US states, but taking any amount across the US, Canadian or Mexican border is a federal crime — including edibles and vapes.
- North America ↗The busiest US and Canadian national parks need timed-entry, campsite or lodge reservations in summer; release dates are months ahead.
- United States ↗Check whether you need an ESTA (Visa Waiver Program) or a visa on the official CBP and State Department sites; apply only through esta.cbp.dhs.gov, not third-party sites, and allow time before you book.
- United States ↗Several popular national parks use timed-entry or vehicle reservations in peak season; check each park's page on nps.gov and book on recreation.gov before fixing your dates.
- United States ↗Medical care is very expensive for visitors; buy travel insurance with high medical cover before you fly.
- United States ↗Tipping is expected: about 15–20% at sit-down restaurants and bars, and a tip for taxis, hotel staff and guides.

Getting around
A car is close to essential: sights are spread along US-1 and I-95, and the seashore road is 10+ mi from downtown. Space Coast Area Transit runs county routes from Titusville (route 1 to Cocoa, Rockledge and Viera; route 5 north to Mims and Scottsmoor) at $1.25 a ride or $35 for a monthly pass, but they are slow for sightseeing. Titusville is a stop on Greyhound and FlixBus at the Sunshine Chevron, 3585 Cheney Hwy at I-95 Exit 215. The nearest Amtrak station is in Orlando.

- Canaveral National Seashore and Playalinda Beach close for launches and can fill by mid-morning: check the National Park Service site.
- Distances look short on the map but the causeway and A1A add time.
