Inuyama犬山
Go as a day trip from Nagoya: castle, Urakuen and Meiji Mura in one day, 30–35 min and about ¥540 each way.
Inuyama is a small city on the Kiso River, 30–35 minutes from Nagoya on the Meitetsu line. It holds one of Japan's few original castle keeps, a national-treasure tea house, and two large open-air museums. Most travellers see it as a day trip; one night is enough if you want the castle at opening and Meiji Mura without rushing.

- East Asia ↗Every border in East Asia is a full international border, Hong Kong and Macau included: an entry permission for one never covers the next.
- East Asia ↗Ferries between Korea, Japan and China cancel in rough seas and typhoons; keep a flight or a spare day behind every sea leg.
- Japan ↗IC cards (ICOCA/Suica) are topped up with cash at station machines.

- Japan ↗Shinkansen bags 160–250 cm (L+W+H) need a seat reserved with the oversized-baggage area.
