Jardín is a small Antioquian coffee town of under 20,000 people, 134 km south of Medellín, largely unchanged since 1864. Two nights covers the plaza, the basilica, Cristo Rey and one nature trip; three nights adds the Cueva del Esplendor or a coffee farm without rushing. Days sit near 19°C and nights need a jacket.

Getting around
The centre is walkable in 15 minutes end to end. Moto-ratón carts (motorcycle-pulled) cover town and nearby trailheads; agree the price first. Two cable cars serve the town and the Río Volcanes valley. Taxis and InDrive work for fincas outside the centre.

- Mountain roads: landslides and long truck queues can add hours; travel in daylight.
