Colombo is a working agricultural town of about 213,000 people in the Grande Curitiba metro area, 18 km north of Curitiba on BR-116. Its draw is rural, not urban: the Circuito Italiano de Turismo Rural links colonial wine cellars, salami and preserves producers, and typical restaurants left by Italian immigrants, plus the Festa da Uva grape festival at Parque Municipal da Uva. There is no hotel district worth planning around and no reason to sleep here when Curitiba is 30–40 minutes away. Treat it as a half-day or full-day side trip.

Getting around
You need a car or a ride-hailing app. The rural circuit spreads across unpaved farm roads with no useful bus coverage; Curitiba's urban bus network does not reach the wineries. From Curitiba, drive or take an app car north on BR-116, about 30–40 minutes to the town centre. Inside town, walk the compact centre; for the circuit, drive between stops.
