Geneva is a small Fox River town west of Chicago, not the Swiss city. Its draw is a compact, walkable downtown on State Street and Third Street, the Fox River Trail, and the Fabyan Villa and Japanese Garden just south of town. Most visitors come for a day from Chicago or as a base for the wider Fox River Valley.

Getting around

Downtown is walkable end to end in about 15 minutes. Metra's Union Pacific West line runs from Chicago to the Geneva station, roughly 55–70 min. A car helps for Fabyan Villa, Geneva Commons and the wider Fox River Valley; the Fox River Trail is bike and on foot.
