Ma'ale Adumimמעלה אדומים
Half a day is enough: see the Byzantine monastery ruins and the lake park, then move on to Jerusalem or Jericho.
Ma'ale Adumim is an Israeli settlement east of Jerusalem with about 37,000 residents. Its main draws are the Monastery of Martyrius and Monastery of Euthymius, both with well-preserved Byzantine mosaics, and a small lake park. Most travellers pass through on the way to the Dead Sea or Jericho.
