Paris is a small northeast Texas town on the Blackland Prairie, about 1 h 45 min northeast of Dallas by car. Its draw is a 1993 Eiffel Tower replica with a red cowboy hat, a restored 1868 Victorian house and an antique-shop square. The 1984 film Paris, Texas was not filmed here. Most travellers stop for a night on the US 82 or US 271 route, not as a base.
