Numata沼田
Use Numata as a gateway to Oze National Park and Nikko, not a destination: one night or a half-day stop for the castle ruins and a hot spring.
Numata is a small city in Gunma Prefecture, known as the entrance to Oze National Park and a convenient stop on the way to Nikko. Its main draw is the Ruins of Numata Castle in Numata Park, plus hot springs and fruit-picking orchards. Most travellers pass through in half a day or stay one night at a hot-spring inn.
