Give Rzeszów one full day and one night: Old Town, the Underground Tourist Route and the castle walls on foot, then move on to Przemyśl or Łańcut.
Rzeszów is the capital of Podkarpackie and the biggest city in south-east Poland, a compact Old Town of about 180,000 people on the E40 between Kraków and the Ukrainian border. The centre is small enough to walk in half a day, and the city works best as a base for Łańcut, Przemyśl and the region rather than as a destination on its own.

- The Jewish cemetery on ul. Dołowa is walled and the gate is usually locked.
