Búzios is a small peninsula town 176 km east of Rio de Janeiro, with more than 20 beaches, a walkable restaurant strip on Rua das Pedras and a nightlife that starts late. Three nights covers the main beaches, a schooner trip and one slow day. It is a beach-and-food stop, not a sightseeing city: come for the water, the seafood and the evenings.

Getting around
The town is small but hilly: Centro and Rua das Pedras are walkable, most beaches are not. Local buses and vans link Centro with Geribá and other beaches; taxis and app rides are short and cheap for the distances. A car helps only if you stay outside Centro, and parking near the main beaches fills early in high season.

Safety
- Beach and boat operators sell on the dock and the sand: agree the price and what is included before you board.
- Restaurants on Rua das Pedras vary widely in price; ask to see the menu and the couvert charge before sitting.
- December and July bring crowds and can strain water and food supplies; book beds and tables ahead.
- Swim near other people and watch for strong surf at Geribá; the ocean side is rougher than the sheltered bays.
