Major city · Bahrain
Riffa
Check your government's travel advice first: since February 2026 Iranian missiles and drones have struck targets in Bahrain and flights are cut at short notice. When travel is advisable, Riffa is a half-day add-on from Manama: see the fort and clock tower, then leave. Not worth a separate night unless you have family or business here.
Riffa is Bahrain's second city, split into East and West. West Riffa holds the 17th-century Riffa Fort and the clock tower; East Riffa has the National Stadium and shopping streets. Most visitors come for the fort and a look at local life, then return to Manama. One afternoon is enough.
