One night is enough: the storytelling museum, the art museum and a moose park. Skip it unless you are driving the E4 or the Riksettan.
Ljungby is a small Småland town on the E4 and the old Riksettan road, rebuilt in modern style after a 1953 fire. Its draw is folklore and art: the Museum of Legends, the Ljungberg Museum and a moose park south of town. One night covers it comfortably; a half-day stop works if you are only passing on the E4.

Getting around
The centre is walkable in 15 minutes. Bicycles cover the rest of town. For villages, the moose park and the Bolmen lake route you want a car: rural buses are sparse. Länstrafiken Kronoberg runs local buses to Växjö, Halmstad, Värnamo, Markaryd and Älmhult; buy on the app or at Willy:s by the bus station, and expect a small extra fee for cash on board.
